Building a Vibrant Community Around 1plus
1plus has fostered community from the outset of its existence, seeing it as an important factor in the fun of games: Our team has adopted multiple strategies towards building a first a healthy community, and subsequently a truly good community centred around games:
Community Forums: online spaces for fellow players to chat about games, share tactics and become ‘friends’.
2. Social Media Integration: Multi-dimensional social media activity to interact with the community, share company news and top user-generated content.
3. In-Game Events and Competitions: On-going events and tournaments, as well as a competition scheme, to motivate participation and build both a sense of community and healthy competition.
4. User-Generated Content: providing players with tools for making some of the content in a game – instance, levels, mods, or game-guides for other players to explore and enjoy.
5. Feedback Channels: Providing open and accessible channels through which users can make comments, report usability issues and offer suggestions for improvement. This includes providing ways for the community to lend its voice back to the system.
How the Community Shapes the Direction of the Platform
The community is very involved in 1plus. Actions users make drive how 1plus develops itself. Here’s how: First, everyone writes articles and sustains topics for community development. Secondly, users give feedback on AI-written articles to determine the goalkeepers and other important roles. This feedback allows the community members to influence the topics and the development of the site.
1. Preference-shaping in game selection and features: These include user survey data and information, and user feedback on games and platforms. Aggregating information on what features users like to see in games is used to determine what games are selected, and to make these selections more ‘user-friendly’.
